THE FIRST ART PROJECT OF 2012 - 2013
The students will be creating a non-figurative, symmetric design to transfer to a clay tile. We will incise the clay with the design and, when the clay is dry, we will paint the tile with acrylic paint.
We will discuss the difference between the art of Western Cultures and Eastern Cultures; and we will look at the influence of Eastern tile design on the art of M. C. Escher.
